Feasibility studies

Coutant Aquariums have capitalised on their considerable experience and solid references in public aquariums to develop a 4-stage methodology for advising clients and completing feasibility studies:

1. Market analysis:

An assessment of the expected clientele, using analogue and analytical approaches, together with a proposed pricing policy.

2. Aquarium dimensioning analysis:

The surface area and volume of the building are determined according to the following criteria:

  • expected visitor traffic and location
  • aquarium and tour choices
  • investment budget and expected pay-back

3. Preliminary aquarium/scenography programme for the site:

Definition of the main outline of the content: aquarium museography, learning topics, and functional sketches of the tour route.

4. Business case for the project:

Defining the initial investment budget and estimating the income and operating costs.
